Greg holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) and the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designations. He has also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® mark, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Our team has been named one of the Top 1200 Advisors by Barron's from 2009-2018 as well as being recognized by Forbes Best-In-State Top Advisor Teams in 2018. He has in-depth knowledge of planning for financial independence, maximizing employer benefits and equity compensation, developing proactive investment strategies, and utilizing a team approach to provide custom solutions with a high level of service. Pre/post transaction financial planning for entrepreneurs, business owners and senior executives of privately held companies is a primary area of focus having counseled executives through hundreds of M&A transactions to derive the greatest outcome with their equity.

Prior to joining Hightower, Greg was selected by Merrill Lynch's senior management to instruct other top performing Merrill Lynch Financial Advisors in advanced wealth management strategies. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1992 and founded the Sarian Group, now Sarian Strategic Partners, in 1997. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Greg has a co-op with a major accounting firm in their executive financial consulting practice.

Greg earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Boston College. He is active in the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Association and volunteers at the Good Samaritan Shelter, Stewardship Committee of Church of the Savior and serves on the Advisor Council for The Barnes Foundation. He enjoys learning about wine and running and has competed in five Boston Marathons. He and his wife, Laurel, live in Malvern with their children, Elizabeth, Christian and Grace. Greg joined Hightower in 2013 as Managing Director and Partner.
